Consistent with the institute’s mission to support the dissemination of information on research progress, one of NIAMS’ four goals is to communicate timely and relevant advances to patients, communities, and scientists. The below priority—Conducting Information Dissemination and Engagement Activities—describes institute activities related to this goal and is included in the Strategic Plan to emphasize the institute’s commitment to ensuring that those who support the NIAMS mission are aware of the results of their efforts.
Information Dissemination and Engagement Activities
NIAMS is committed to communicating timely and relevant research advances to those communities interested in and impacted by diseases and conditions within the NIAMS portfolio, the media, the biomedical community, and voluntary and professional health organizations.
