Summary
Mr. Edgerton is the Acting Director, Division of Extramural Activities. He oversees the business management of more than 1300 grants and cooperative agreements, supervises 13 employees, and oversees a multi-million dollar annual budget.
Mr. Edgerton started his NIAMS career in 2005. After 10 years as a grants management specialist, he worked for 3 years as a grants management supervisor for the National Cancer Institute (NCI), then returned to NIAMS in 2018 as the deputy chief of the Grants Management Branch. In 2020, he was promoted to branch chief. He now serves as the Acting Director of the Division of Extramural Activities.
