Summary
Victoria Matthews is a Senior Grants Management Specialist. She joined NIH in 2015 where she worked at the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke before moving to NIAMS in May 2020. Ms. Matthews started her career in grants management at the National Academy of Sciences in 1999 before moving on to a position as a program officer at a small foundation.
She returned to grants management and worked in a variety of capacities at universities and headed a small, sponsored research program office for a large department of a medical school.
She received her bachelor’s degree in economics and geography from Mary Washington College and a master’s degree in English from Georgetown University. She has been a Certified Research Administrator since 2010.
