Timothy Bhattacharyya, M.D., completed medical training at Washington University in St. Louis followed by residency in orthopedic surgery at Boston University and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at Massachusetts General Hospital where he practiced for four years. He has been in the NIAMS Orthopedic Unit since 2009. 

Dr. Bhattacharyya's research involves studying and analyzing orthopedic outcomes using a variety of clinical data sources. His team is interested in hip fractures, hip infections, joint replacement, atypical femur fractures, and non-unions.
