Saagar Shah, B.S.

Summary

Saagar Shah graduated summa cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s in biomedical sciences. During his undergraduate education, he conducted research in the lab of Dr. Steven Ebert, investigating how maternal binge alcohol episodes affect the developing mouse heart. In addition, he conducted research in the lab of Dr. Claudia Andl, investigating the connections between adipose-derived cytokines and the development of Barrett’s esophagus.

In 2025, he joined the Cutaneous Development and Carcinogenesis Section, led by Dr. Isaac Brownell, as a postbac fellow. He will study the development of Merkel cells and plans to attend graduate school with an interest in developmental biology.
