Maysoon Idrees, B.S.

Maysoon Idrees graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry with concentrations in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine and Global Health.

At university, Maysoon worked in the Morowitz lab, focusing on how antibiotic use impacts the microbiome, specifically exploring its downstream effects. At NIAMS, she is a postbaccalaureate fellow in the Kaplan lab, with a focus on the intersection of lupus and the microbiome.
