Haiting Wang, M.D., Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Systemic Autoimmunity Branch

Summary

Dr. Haiting Wang received her M.D. from Zhengzhou University in China and completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She subsequently worked as a physician in the Department of Rheumatology at Renji Hospital, affiliated with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. In 2023, Dr. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Immunology. Her clinical and research interests focus on systemic autoimmune diseases, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In July 2024, she joined the NIH as a postdoctoral fellow, where she studies myeloid cell biology in lupus using both mouse models and patient samples.

Research Statement

Dr. Wang’s research aims to understand how myeloid cell development, differentiation, function, and metabolic regulation contribute to autoimmune inflammation and organ damage in SLE. She is particularly interested in the immune mechanisms underlying SLE-associated complications, including lupus myocarditis, to facilitate the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
