Charmaine Hutcherson

Summary

Charmaine Hutcherson is a Program Analyst in the Grants Management Branch of the Division of Extramural Activities at NIAMS. In this position, she serves as the program support and analyst to the Grants Specialist and the Grants Branch Chief. She also assists with operations, including travel and other program-specific projects for the Grants Management Branch. 

Mrs. Hutcherson joined NIAMS in July 2024. Prior to coming to NIAMS, she was a Human Resource Specialist for the Special Program Division, which is part of the Human Capital Directorate in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She was responsible for planning recruitment events for and developing marketing strategies to Federal jobseekers.

She began her federal career in January of 2021 at the U.S. Public Health Service as a Human Resources Specialist. She assisted with the development of program policies, facilitated with the coordination of Officer Basic Training, and assisted in the creation of the Recruitment Strategy for the Ready Reserve Component.
