Summary
Aditi Kodali graduated from the University of Virginia in 2025 with degrees in biology and applied statistics. She worked as an undergraduate researcher under the supervision of Dr. Clint Miller in the Department of Genome Sciences. Her project focused on integrating single-cell RNA-seq datasets to create an atlas of human atherosclerotic data and identify cell type-specific markers of coronary artery disease and smooth muscle cell modulation.
In 2023, Aditi was a summer intern in the Translational Genetics and Genomics Section at NIAMS, where she utilized gene set enrichment analysis to identify pathways upregulated in systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA).
Research Statement
Aditi’s research utilizes bioinformatics techniques to investigate genetic variants associated with Still’s disease. She also analyzes single-cell RNA-seq data to study disease-associated patterns, particularly of neutrophils.
