Genotyping Specimens Using High Throughput SNP Genotyping System

This photograph shows a staff scientist in the Genetics and Genomics Branch, Genomics Section. She is using the mass spectrometry system, a component of the high throughput single nucleotide polymorphism genotyping system, to genotype specimens from people with rheumatoid arthritis and control subjects to identify factors that would increase susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis.
