Summary
Dr. Berrett completed the M.D./Ph.D. program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, graduating in 2021. Her graduate work investigated the differentiation pathways of innate immune cell lineages. She completed her residency at the HCA Healthcare Kansas City/Overland Park Research Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency, where she formed a research committee to support her co-residents in their scholarly pursuits. Dr. Berrett has several peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and science communication articles directed toward the general public. She has made regional and national presentations.
Her hobbies include social dancing, watercolor painting, cycling, and reading romance novels. During her fellowship at the NIH, she is interested in investigating the link between mental health and chronic illness in rheumatology.
