Anna E. Mazzucco, Ph.D., is the NIAMS Deputy Director.

Dr. Chi is interested in mechanisms of tumor immune evasion and the development of new cancer therapies. He is currently investigating the molecular pathology of Merkel cell carcinoma and aims to identify novel therapeutic targets.

Dr. Panipinto's research at the NIH focuses on systemic juvenile arthritis and adult-onset Still's disease. His particular interest is innate immunity and mechanisms of inflammation in rare genetic disease variants.

Jacqueline Saulnier is a Post-Baccalaureate Fellow in the Colbert Lab, where she helps advance our understanding of the mechanisms of pathogenicity of HLA-B27, an immunological protein closely associated with types of spondyloarthritides.

Dr. Nagashima studies the molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation of lymphocytes. His research focuses on type 2 lymphocytes involved in host defense against parasites and allergic disorders such as asthma and atopic dermatitis.

Dr. Brown studies the molecular mechanisms by which the protein HLA-B27 may be regulated and contribute to the risk of developing chronic inflammatory and autoimmune symptoms in axial spondyloarthritis.

Dr. Kim is a postdoctoral visiting fellow in the Cutaneous Leukocyte Biology Section at NIAMS. Her research focuses on the developmental stage-dependent phenotypes of ILCs and their roles in skin health and dermatological diseases.
