Welcome to the NIAMS Intramural Research Program (IRP). As you will see, our program comprises scientists, physicians, nurses, trainees and administrators who work together to solve basic scientific problems and treat patients in our ongoing clinical trials.

Our investigators study the architecture of viruses using cryo-electron microscopy, and discover new diseases and treat patients with cutting edge therapeutic modalities – and everything in between. Whether you are a trainee looking for a lab to work on questions related to bones, muscles, skin, or autoimmunity, a patient looking for a clinical protocol or if you are interested in learning more about the NIAMS IRP - I encourage you to read about our basic and clinical science.
