Dr. Danielle Chisolm.

Congratulations to Dr. Danielle Chisolm who has been named one of this year’s NIH Independent Research Scholars (IRS). The IRS program aims to build the workforce diversity of independent research scientists by selecting scholars who have a commitment to building a diverse Intramural Research Program.

Working in the Molecular Immunology and Inflammation Branch at the NIAMS, Dr. Chisolm’s major research goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms by which different external cues (i.e. cytokine signaling, metabolism, and TCR-signaling) regulate T cell differentiation. Her current project focuses on understanding how novel transcription factors link metabolic programs and cellular fate.
