Certificates of Confidentiality
Certificates of Confidentiality and the Application Procedures for Researchers
Certificates of Confidentiality are used to protect the privacy of research study participants (see NIH Guide Notice 03/15/2002). Certificates of Confidentiality can be requested by researchers to prevent the involuntary releases of research records that contain information that could be used to identify a study participant.
